Chicago Neighborhood Boundaries

In Chicago, where you live can shape nearly every part of your daily life—from your commute and favorite restaurants to local parks, schools, community events, and home values. Each neighborhood has its own personality, history, architecture, and amenities, making neighborhood choice just as important as choosing the right home.

This list is designed to help you familiarize yourself with many of Chicago’s neighborhoods. While neighborhood lines can sometimes overlap or vary depending on the source, these boundary lines provide a helpful starting point for comparing areas and discovering where each neighborhood begins. This list is by no means exhaustive, as there are over 200 neighborhoods throughout the City of Chicago all within and overlapping the City’s 77 official “Community Areas.” If there are any neighborhoods you are interested in that are not listed below, please reach out to us and we can give you more information!
